Voluntary Camera Registration Program
The Inverness Police Department’s Voluntary Camera Registration Program allows residents to register their video surveillance system. Video surveillance is one of the best resources for Police Officers to collect video evidence to identify and apprehend criminals. When a crime occurs, Officers can identify the location of nearby cameras to collect video evidence to support their investigation.
This registration is voluntary and there is no cost associated with registration. Registering your camera does not provide the department with direct access to the cameras and residents may request to be removed at any time. Police may ask residents to check their video footage for a specific date and time that may show activity involved with a crime.
