Construction Information

CONSTRUCTION HOURS:
Construction, Building is only permitted:

  • Sunday between nine o'clock (9:00) A.M., and six o'clock (6:00) P.M.
  • Monday through Friday, between seven o'clock (7:00) A.M., and seven o'clock (7:00) P.M.
  • Saturday between eight o'clock (8:00) A.M., and six o'clock (6:00) P.M.

CONSTRUCTION PARKING:
No owner of property, contractor, and/or other permittee, who has been issued any village permit, including, but not limited to, any building permit, demolition permit, site development permit, septic permit, or other permit issued by the village authorizing any construction activity pursuant to this code ("village permits"), nor any contractor, subcontractor or material supplier of such owner, contractor, or permittee, shall cause, permit, or allow:

  • Any vehicles and/or equipment, related to activity which is or should be the subject of such a village permit, to be parked or stored on any such village right of way, unless specifically authorized by a special condition of such a permit; and
  • Any non-rubber tired equipment used in any activity related to such village permit(s) to be loaded or unloaded, except within the boundary lines of the property which is the subject of such village permit(s), and in no event shall such loading or unloading occur within the boundary lines of any public or private right of way.
  • The construction restrictions shall not be applicable to any work within a right of way which has been duly authorized by the entity having maintenance jurisdiction over said right of way.

DUMPSTERS:
Groot Industries, Inc. is the Villages’ System Waste Hauler. You may use a Non-System Waste Hauler however; the Village of Inverness requires they be licensed.

PORTABLE TOILETS 9-4-18 A (IDPH 905.130):
Portable toilets are required on construction sites.

OVERWEIGHT AND OVERSIZE EQUIPMENT:
The gross weight of all vehicles carrying demolition and construction equipment shall be no more than 80,000 lbs. on Village streets and comply with the weight and axle requirements of 625 ILCS 5/15-111 (a). No overweight or oversize permits will be issued.
